Adding Technology to your in-home sales process
Hello, my name is Noah Lantz, I’m an ArcSite Account Executive. I’m going to cover the top five applications, every in-home salesperson for a construction company should use to help complement their workflow.
Now, personally, I have over 10 years of in-home sales experience, I have sold everything from alarm systems, to roofs, to most famously, gutter systems. Now, the applications I’m about to show you are all things I wish I had known about when I first have ventured down that path.
What iOS apps should I be using for my in-home sales business?
1. QuickBooks Self Employed
Check out the app HERE
What I love about this app:
Track income – link your bank account to the app and deduct expenses to determine your profit.
Expense tracking – import expenses directly from your bank account, take pictures of receipts and even keep track of mileage from one place. This makes doing your taxes and conducting proper record keeping incredibly easy and will save you time and hassle.
Estimate your quarterly taxes – very important for independent contractors. This will allow you to budget accordingly and avoid fees, and possibly even audits. You can also bundle QuickBooks with TurboTax to organize your expenses and pay taxes from one integrated software bundle.
Create and send invoices on the go with email. It’s as simple as hitting create invoice, typing in invoice information, your rate or fixed price, and then sending an email. You can even have them pay you through QuickBooks with a digital payment system.
Track lifetime business profit – you should constantly be analyzing how much money you are making and where you can improve.

What’s not to love!?
ArcSite makes CAD drawing, and even estimation pen and paper easy. All you do is draw on your iPad while you’re walking around the house with a client, maybe take some photos and add a couple of notes as you would on a piece of paper. From there, ArcSite will turn that into a CAD design and also price out your job completely just through drawing a picture on the platform.
It’s incredibly powerful. I can’t recommend it enough. I know when I started using it to sell gutters, my close rate went up about 20 to 30% and the company started making more money than ever. So very, very powerful tool, recommend scheduling a demo, just reach out to us and we will get you all taken care of.
